Marion Agnew's short story "A Map of the Moon" won Third Place in the Canadian Shorts 2017 writing contest. It appears in the book titled "Canadian Shorts" - A Collection of Short Stories, a celebration of Canada's 150th birthday. All proceeds from this project are donated to The Canadian Council for Refugees.
After fifteen years as a technical writer and editor, Marion Agnew moved to
Thunder Bay, Ontario. Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in journals
such as Prairie Fire, The Malahat Review, Room, New Orphic Review, South
Dakota Review, and Compose, and have been selected for the Ten Stories High
anthology (11th, 15th, and 17th editions) and Best Canadian Essays (2012 and
2014). She writes from her home office in Shuniah, just outside Thunder Bay,
